Quick 30-Second Symptom Assessment

Step 1: Where is the pain located?

Spine & Lumbar

Lumbar Disc Herniation & Sciatica

Common Signs: Sharp shooting electric pain down the glute, calf, or foot; worse on sitting or coughing.

Root Cause: Prolonged sitting with lumbar flexion, improper heavy lifting, disc annular fiber weakening.

Our Strategy: Passive neural mobilization, lumbar extension decompression, deep core bracing.

Neck & Upper Spine

Cervical Spondylosis & Radiculopathy

Common Signs: Deep aching neck stiffness, tingling numbness in thumb or fingers, occipital headaches.

Root Cause: Forward head tilt under sustained screen glare, facet hypertrophy, cervical disc protrusion.

Our Strategy: Gentle cervico-thoracic mobilization, deep neck flexor re-education, ergonomic correction.

Knee & Lower Limb

Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (Runner’s Knee)

Common Signs: Dull ache under or around the patella (kneecap), aggravated by stairs or prolonged sitting.

Root Cause: Patellar tracking malalignment due to weak gluteus medius and tight lateral retinaculum.

Our Strategy: Patellar taping, eccentric quadriceps loading, closed kinetic chain hip abduction strengthening.

Shoulder & Arm

Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy & Impingement

Common Signs: Painful arc when raising arm sideways between 60° and 120°; inability to sleep on that arm.

Root Cause: Subacromial space narrowing, repetitive overhead reach, supraspinatus tendon micro-tears.

Our Strategy: Subacromial decompression glides, medical dry needling of infraspinatus, serratus activation.

Shoulder & Arm

Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)

Common Signs: Severe gradual loss of active and passive shoulder movement; extreme night pain in freezing stage.

Root Cause: Capsular contracture, post-immobilization stiffness, or idiopathic metabolic inflammation.

Our Strategy: End-range oscillatory joint mobilizations (Maitland / Mulligan), hydrodilatation support, gentle stretching.

Foot & Ankle

Plantar Fasciitis & Heel Pain

Common Signs: Excruciating stabbing pain on the bottom of the heel with the very first steps in the morning.

Root Cause: Calf complex stiffness, sudden increase in walking mileage, collapsed or rigid foot arches.

Our Strategy: High-load plantar fascia strength loading (Rathleff protocol), calf myofascial release, arch taping.

Knee & Sports

Post-ACL Reconstruction Rehabilitation

Common Signs: Post-operative knee joint swelling, quadrant weakness, lack of terminal knee extension.

Root Cause: Surgical trauma and graft incorporation period requiring protected, phased loading.

Our Strategy: Restoring full 0° knee extension on Day 1, progressive quadriceps hypertrophy, plyometric testing.

Postural & Workstation

Tech Neck & Upper Cross Syndrome

Common Signs: Burning knot between the shoulder blades, rounded shoulders, shallow breathing.

Root Cause: Reciprocal muscle inhibition from 8+ daily hours seated in front of laptop screens.

Our Strategy: Thoracic foam roller extension drills, rhomboid activation, pectoral myofascial opening.

Clinical Red Flags: When to Seek Immediate Medical Emergency Care

While conservative physiotherapy resolves the vast majority of spine and joint issues, certain symptoms require immediate hospital evaluation before attending clinic:

  • Sudden loss of bowel or bladder control (Cauda Equina syndrome)
  • Numbness in the groin or inner thighs (“saddle anesthesia”)
  • Sudden unexplained foot drop (inability to lift the toes while walking)
  • Severe unremitting night pain accompanied by high fever or chills

If you experience any of the above, visit the nearest emergency room immediately.
